Event Description
Collaboration, communication, and critical thinking are important skills for student success. This presentation explores the potential of virtual escape rooms to promote student-centered learning through immersive content-based stories and puzzle solving. Instructors can enhance learning by engaging students in creative online escape rooms made using Google Forms and ZOOM. Experience how collaborative, engaging, and effective Google Forms escape rooms can be through participation in small groups to complete a sample of escape room challenges. Observe built-in feedback mechanisms, reflection opportunities, and tools to evaluate learning and explore diverse formats and applications based on the functionality and features of Google Forms. To help participants create their own escape rooms, there will be a brief demonstration with links to tutorial videos and additional online resources will be provided.
